1. At long last, advocates of honoring civil rights leader and Great Barrington resident W.E.B. Du  Bois have won their battle to name a Great Barrington school after him.

2.  A victim of the COVID19 pandemic and contractual issues with the town of Great Barrington, the Southern Berkshire Elderly Transportation Corp. is shutting down:

4.  You may not know this but the Revolutionary War was won near Bennington, Vermont — at least that’s what Vermonters believe, and that’s why Vermont celebrated Battle Day for the 243rd time. 735 men from the Berkshires fought in that battle on Aug. 16, 1777:

5. The COVID19 pandemic hasn’t entirely shuttered the Berkshire concert scene… on Sept. 12 the West Stockbridge Chamber Players (members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra) will give their final benefit concert.
